Our Social Impact

At Pennypop, we believe marketing can do more than sell products and services. It can raise awareness, bring people together, start conversations, encourage action and help organisations doing important work reach the people who need to hear from them.

That is why supporting charities and not-for-profit organisations is an important part of what we do.

Charities Supported

Fundraised

Our mission is connecting people, brands and communities to create a better future, and we try to live that mission through the clients we work with, the causes we support and the connections we create along the way.

We have worked with not-for-profits and charities as clients, providing marketing, communications, PR, content and event support. We have also supported organisations outside of our client work through sponsorship, fundraising, volunteering, promotion and the sharing of our expertise.

For us, it isn’t about ticking a CSR box. It’s about using what we’re good at to help organisations doing good.

Using marketing to make a difference

We know that marketing isn’t always the first priority for a charity or not-for-profit organisation. There are people to support, services to deliver, funding to secure and communities to serve.

It can help a charity tell its story, attract supporters, secure sponsorship, recruit volunteers, increase attendance at an event or simply make more people aware of the work it does. It can turn a good cause into a campaign people understand and, more importantly, want to get behind. That’s where Pennypop comes in.

We provide practical marketing and communications support for charities, not-for-profits and purpose-led organisations, helping them make the most of their time, resources and budgets. From developing a marketing strategy and managing social media to creating content, supporting PR, promoting fundraising campaigns and delivering events, we can provide additional expertise where it’s needed and because we’re an implementation-focused agency, we don’t believe in handing you a strategy and wishing you luck. We like to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in.

We understand that every organisation is different

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to not-for-profit marketing. Some organisations have an established marketing team and need additional support for a particular campaign or event. Others have one person doing five different jobs and need someone to take marketing off their plate. Sometimes the requirement is strategic; sometimes you simply need someone who can get the work done.

Our approach is flexible because we understand that budgets, resources and priorities vary.

We can work alongside your existing team, take responsibility for a particular project or provide ongoing marketing support. Whether you need help telling your story, promoting an event, building your social media presence, creating content or developing a campaign, we’ll start with what you actually need rather than trying to fit you into a package.

Telling stories that people care about

At the heart of good charity and not-for-profit marketing is a good story. Not just what you do, but why it matters.

We help organisations communicate their purpose in a way that feels genuine and connects with the people they want to reach. That might mean telling the story of the people you support, showing the impact of a fundraising campaign, highlighting the work of volunteers or bringing an important issue into the public conversation.

Our experience across PR, content, social media and events means we can take those stories and turn them into communications that work across different channels, from your website and social media to newsletters, media coverage and live events.

We know that people connect with people. So we make sure the human side of the story doesn’t get lost.

Events, fundraising and bringing people together

Events are a big part of what we do at Pennypop, and we’re particularly passionate about events that bring people together for a purpose.

We’ve supported charity events, fundraising initiatives and large-scale community and industry events, helping with everything from planning and promotion to sponsorship, communications and delivery.

For a not-for-profit organisation, an event can be much more than a date in the diary. It can raise vital funds, create new relationships, thank supporters, attract sponsors and give people the opportunity to experience your cause first-hand. We bring our marketing and event experience together to help make those opportunities count.

Our commitment goes beyond our clients

Our support for not-for-profits isn’t limited to organisations that pay us for our services. We’ve sponsored and supported charities, community organisations and local initiatives because we believe in what they are trying to achieve. Sometimes that support is financial. Sometimes it’s our time, our skills, our network or our marketing expertise.

We’ve also supported local sports and community initiatives and used our own platforms to give organisations and causes a voice.

Connecting businesses and communities

Our commitment to connection is also why our founder created the Louth Business Network. The network was established to bring businesses together, create meaningful connections and provide a space where local business owners can meet, share experiences, make introductions and support one another.

It’s free, because we believe good business connections shouldn’t always come with a price tag.

The network has become another way for Pennypop to contribute to the local business community and create opportunities for people to connect. It’s a simple idea, but it reflects something we genuinely believe: when people connect, good things can happen.

Marketing with merit

Our tagline is Marketing with Merit, and supporting organisations that create positive change is a big part of what that means to us.

We don’t believe marketing should simply be about getting more likes, more clicks or more sales. Good marketing should have a purpose. For a charity, that purpose might be raising funds. For a community organisation, it might be getting more people involved. For a not-for-profit, it might be changing perceptions, increasing awareness or reaching the people who need its services.

Whatever the goal, our job is to help you communicate it clearly and effectively. We bring commercial marketing experience, creativity and practical implementation to organisations that are working to make a difference.

Creating a better future

We don’t pretend that a marketing agency can solve every problem. But we do believe businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the communities around them.

For Pennypop, that means using our skills, experience and connections wherever they can have a positive impact.

It means working with organisations we believe in. It means supporting causes that matter. It means sharing what we know. It means creating opportunities for people to connect. And it means remembering that sometimes the most valuable thing we can give is our time, expertise or simply an introduction to the right person. That’s how we try to live our mission every day:

Connecting people, brands & communities to create a better future.

If you’re a charity, not-for-profit or purpose-led organisation looking for marketing, communications, PR or event support, we’d love to hear what you’re working on.

Where we have made a difference…

Social Media Literacy Campaign

We are dedicated to promoting social media literacy in schools across Ireland. As a Marketing Agency, we believe that social media has become an integral part of our daily lives, and it’s crucial for young people to develop the necessary skills to navigate it safely and responsibly. That’s why we’ve begun working hard to make social media literacy a part of the Irish school curriculum.

We believe that social media literacy should be a fundamental part of the education system, and we need your help to make this a reality. We are calling for support from individuals and organisations who share our vision to join our steering group. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that young people are prepared to thrive in today’s digital world. If you would like to get involved, please get in touch with us today.
